Brian Bruya is Professor of Philosophy at Eastern Michigan University, USA. He specializes in comparative philosophy, particularly in transmitting philosophical ideas from the Chinese tradition into contemporary philosophical discussion. In addition to his research into the early Chinese tradition, he is currently working on collaborative projects involving empirical studies of wisdom and of attention. His representative works include The Philosophical Challenge from China (MIT Press) and Effortless Attention (MIT Press).
