Dennis Kat Hung Cheng

Professor Dennis K. H. CHENG is appointed “Chair Professor of Cultural History” by the Education University of Hong Kong after retiring from the National Taiwan University in 2012. He is also appointed “European Chair of Chinese Studies” by the IIAS of the Leiden University in 2010 and “Senior Visiting Research Fellow” by the ARI of the NUS in 2007. His research scope covers areas including the philosophy of Zhouyi (The Classic of Changes), the hermeneutic traditions in East Asia, and history of Chinese thoughts focusing on the Pre-Qin period as well as the late Imperial period. He has authored 7 scholarly books, 12 edited volumes and 62 journal articles.
