Park So Jeong
PARK, So Jeong received her PhD in Philosophy from Yonsei University (Seoul, Korea) and teaches in the Department of Confucian Studies and Eastern Philosophy at Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. Prior to this, she taught Chinese philosophy at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) for seven and half years. Her research interest covers religious and philosophical traditions of Asia from a comparative perspective. She has published a number of articles such as “Musical Thought in the Zhuangzi: A Criticism of the Confucian Discourse on Ritual and Music,” “Sound, Tone, and Music in Early China: Philosophical Foundation for Chinese Sound Culture,” “Music as a necessary means of moral education: a case study from reconstruction of Confucian culture in Joseon Korea,” “Individual and Entirety in Donghak Thought” and “Donghak’s Transformation and experimentation of Confucian Publicity.” |
