Yang Cho-Hon

Yang Cho-hon received his BA in Chinese Literature in National Taiwan Normal University in Taiwan. He earned his 1978 Mphil degree from New Asia Institute of Advanced Chinese Studies in Hong Kong. Professor Yang is a Distinguished Professor of the Department of Chinese and the Graduate Institute of Philosophy Center in National Central University (Taiwan), a member of Board of Directors in Eastern Humanities Foundation, as well as an Honorary Professor appointed by New Asia Institute of Advanced Chinese Studies. Before joining National Central University, he served as the chief editor and the proprieter for Legien Monthly and Legein Semi-Annual Journal, and also held positions in the Department of Philosophy in Chinese Culture University (from 01/ 1993 to 07/ 2001). The representative books he wrote include Confucianism and Kantian Moral Philosophy, Annotation in Zhongyong’s Philosophical Connotations, The Idealistic Tradition in Confucianism, The Record of Philosophical Debates in Contemporary Confucianism, Modern Confucianism's Perspective on the Important Debates of Korean Confucianism. Besides, Professor Yang is co-author of the two books: History of Chinese Philosophy as well as Introduction and Annotation to Jinsilu.
