簡介
張宇博士畢業於斯坦福大學東亞語言文化系。她的研究興趣包括現當代中國文學與文化，鄉土與現代中國文化敘事，當代中國的 “工作”敘事的文化政治，不同華語地區之間的文化互動，革命與社會主義文化以及科技與中國現代文化。 她即將出版的英文專著《走向鄉土與現代中國文化想像，1915-1965》關注的是作為現代經驗與文化敘事的「走向鄉土」怎樣參與了現代中國的啓蒙、革命以及社會主義工業化的話語實踐。作者同時探討了鄉土空間是怎樣被構建成與現代性息息相關的獨特的美學與經驗領域 ；這一鄉土空間的構建亦彰顯了現代中國在觀念意識以及情感方面革命性的變化。
她目前的兩個研究課題是1）探討當代中國文學、電影以及思想史寫作中對“工作”觀念的塑造以及其中蘊含的文化政治，涉及的議題包括從七零年代末八零年代初“勞動”與“服務”的觀念的顛覆性變化，到當前人工智慧的崛起以及后工作時代的來臨對“工作”觀念的再次衝擊；2）七零年代末至九零年代初不同華語地區之間文學、思想以及文化的互動。
