大學核心課程 (為4年制本科生而設)
在大學4年學制下，學生須修讀大學核心課程(General University Requirements)科目，合共30學分，當中12學分為Cluster-Area Requirement (CAR)的科目。學生須於CAR的範圍內完成最少3學分的China Study Requirement (CSR)科目。本學系所提供的CAR科目均屬CSR類別，當中大部份以普通話授課之課程可讓學生同時達到大學對中文的閱讀及寫作要求(Chinese Reading and Writing Requirements)。
